By the grace of the Lord Sri Ramakrishna is garnering together the self-sacrifice of Dadhichi spiritual intelligence and illumination of sage, Vishwamitra perfect character of Vivekananda and Latu Maharaja to fuse once a power to regenerate Bihar’s hoary traditions. Old encrustation of poverty, ignorance and supervision will give way to light, strength and joy to Chapra and its surroundings in all departments. By the grace of Lord, very soon Chapra will be famous as a pilgrim center for the devotees of Sri Ramakrishna who consider themselves blessed to pay homage to the spiritual phenomenon of Latu Maharaj, Swami Adbhutananda. Spiritual and cultured activities are the bedrock of Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, Chapra. Daily Puja (Ritual worship) is held for Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sri Sardadevi, Swami Vivekananda and Swami Adbhutananda. The devotees take Prasad. Besides these the Ashrama conducts special worship services in honor of Bhagavan Sri Ramchandra on Ekadasi day;  Bhagavan Sri Krishna on  Sri Krishna Janamasthami; Lord


 

Jesus Christ on Christmas Eve; Sri Sri Durga (Mahasthami) and Bhavatarini Ma Kali. Spiritual retreats for devotees of the Ashrama are conducted monthly. Grand celebration at the Ashrama also include the birthday of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother and Swamiji and also swami Adbhutananda, when a procession is taken out through Chapra town. ‘National Youth Day’ in celebrated on 12th January, Swami Vivekananda ‘s birthday, and a large number of school and college youth take part. Often these celebrations are carried to villages of the district also when the simple people have great enjoyment. Guest swamis are carried to conduct the celebrations. Special mention is given for village Mobile Medical Services and Non-Formal Education centers below.
