Development is the great challenge of the next government
Each month a new person we know of that begins to close from cancer, diabetes, heart disease or a neurodegenerative disease, to learn of the misery we want the medicine to work like clockwork and give an effective solution for the disease, the person and their family . However, despite some advances in the diagnosis and treatment of some diseases, health greater chance of winning is to avoid the appearance of these disorders. This is possible if we promote the necessary changes in the structure, organization and functioning of our societies, such as changes in the atmosphere of our cities, under the conditions of work, food … In short, the regulation of processes that pose greater risks to health.
That is what is intended largely the Public Health Act (LGSP), adopted on September 22 at almost the last gasp, with the deputies leave of the legislature, in an international economic and political context extremely problematic. Born in the midst of a mighty storm and less graceful than we would have liked, the law is, however, full of life and has enormous potential to improve the quality of Spanish life, our physical and cultural environment, and real economy. If the next government develops and applies the law as it should-with political courage, honesty and technical rigor, policies, strategies and benefits arising from the law help overcome the crisis instrumental model which we live.
