Tips for coping with nausea
Hormonal changes, increased sensitivity of smell and excess stomach acids are among the factors contributing to that 80% of pregnant women feel nausea. Usually they will disappear by the end of the first quarter, although in some cases can last throughout pregnancy. Be sure to consult with your doctor if you vomit repeatedly, excessive vomiting can cause dehydration.
To survive the nausea we suggest:
* Eat meals in small quantities and at frequent intervals. Nausea may be worse if the stomach is empty.
* Eat foods rich in carbohydrates and proteins
* Have on hand water crackers; probá waking to eat some and wait about 30 minutes before getting out of bed.
* Nausea may be worse when taking prenatal vitamins. Check with your doctor if this is your case.
* Avoid spicy foods, fried, which produce acidity and eating less fat.
* Eat yogurt rich in vitamin B, which reduces nausea.
* Smelling lemon and / or drinking water or tea with lemon.
