What is preeclampsia
Preeclampsia is a complication that occurs during pregnancy approximately 7% of pregnant women. It usually occurs after 20 weeks of pregnancy (second and third trimesters of pregnancy) manifesting with high blood pressure, swelling or fluid retention by reduced blood proteins, which are dumped into the urine. You can develop slowly during pregnancy or sharply towards the end.
Preeclampsia is different from gestational hypertension, in the first, apart from pressure elevation have protein in urine, while the second is just the pressure elevation. A mother with gestational hypertension may develop preeclampsia.
The causes of preeclampsia are still unknown but is thought to occur as a response from the body of the mother to certain components of the DNA of the father are now part of the baby. Can also believed to occur when there is proper circulation to the placenta for various reasons.
* Women with hypertension or diabetes prior to pregnancy.
* Women who suffer from lupus erythematosus, thrombophilia, renal failure.
* Family history of preeclampsia.

MILD symptoms of preeclampsia
Preeclampsia is diagnosed to not only enough to have high blood pressure or swelling, but should have the following symptoms:
* Blood pressure of 140/90 – 160/110 and 5 grams of protein in the urine for 24 hours.
* Edema (swelling) of face hands
* Discomfort in liver function, as fats or discomfort when eating certain foods disgust.
* Intolerance to light, eye discomfort.
* Presence of protein in the urine
SYMPTOMS of severe preeclampsia
In addition to the symptoms of mild preeclampsia is also presented:
* Blood pressure greater than or equal to 160/110 and over 5 grams of protein in the urine within 24 hours.
* Decreased urine.
* Mental disorders.
* Severe stomach pain.
* Difficulty breathing when lying, gray skin color.
Weight gain over 2 kg in a week.
* Changes in vision: blurred vision, double, see light sparklers, intolerance to light.
* Strong headaches.
If you have preeclampsia, you can continue with her pregnancy, provided you have adequate treatment and control. If the disease is complicated, it is necessary to induce labor or cesarean section, but will always be the best option to control the disease in order to complete their development the baby in the womb.
